60 Pakistani performers were chosen among 6000 who were interviewed for the Turkish drama Salahuddin Ayubi, which was co-produced by private production companies in Turkey and Pakistan, according to actress Shahira Jalil in an interview.
Shahira added that in addition to herself, other well-known actors who received golden tickets were Ayesha Umar, Ashna Shah, Alizeh Shah, and Arsalan Naseer; however, none of the actors received calls for the role.
A WhatsApp group for the chosen players was also established, and the actress expressed her happiness at being placed with more experienced performers. Sadly, she has not yet been informed of what became of the Pakistani actors who were given golden tickets. Pakistan has lost out on having a Pakistani actor in Salahuddin Ayyubi. Not even a single Pakistani was shown in the drama’s trailer.
The Turkish drama Salahuddin Ayubi is produced by actors Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui, among others.
