The definition by Wiki: The show focuses on protagonist Agent Polat Alemdar, an undercover operative who joins the mafia and becomes the partner of a known mafia gunman, Süleyman Çakır. The show makes direct and indirect references to Turkish politics. It ran for 97 episodes from 2003 to 2005.
My definition: It’s an action-drama series, that entirely brings up the realities of the politics of the World, not just Turkey or whatever. It’s an unique production, in terms of the reflection of historical elements of politics. One must watch the first production, before one dies. 1–97 was awesome both graphically and semantically. It was very unique, i mean there is no word to describe it. So, if you have a chance to learn Turkish, learn it, just because to understand this awesome production. You have only one chance, because as far as I know, there’s no person that made or makes subtitles for it existingly. I mean, for these 1–97 series. Still, check it out on Internet, maybe you’d find – which I don’t believe – but still.

- Here’s a old wallpaper belongs to the old series. The protagonist Polat Alemdar stands next to his fellow Süleyman Çakır who was playing a mob boss. I’m telling you btw. Do not ever mix these series ( 1–97 ) up with any kind of succeeding productions ( Movies such Valley of Wolves Iraq, Palestina or something else ) or ( successor Series such as Valley of Wolves Terror, Valley of Wolves: Ambush ). They cannot even compete head to head with 1–97 Series.
