The cast for the next TV show Yavuz Sultan Selim in 2021 is virtually complete. The Ninth Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Sultan Selim I, the youngest son of Sultan Bayezid II, is the subject of the television series. According to Bilal Kalyoncu’s most recent announcement, the Yavuz Series producer, filming will start in Amasya City, which is also the birthplace of the Sultan Selim I, in February 2021. Additionally, Bilal Kalyoncu indicated that the future series would include three seasons and forty episodes. The primary character of Sultan Selim I in the Yavuz Series will be performed by Cengiz Coskun, who previously played the highly anticipated Turgut Alp in the acclaimed series Dirilis Ertugrul. Additionally, Cengiz Coskun appeared in Malazgirt 1071 and Fetih 1453 (for information on the films’ release dates, see here). Hazal Filiz Kucukkose will portray the part of Hafsa Sultan, the wife of Sultan Selim I. She has acted in numerous notable TV shows, including Mehmed: Bir Cihan Fatihi and Kara Sevda, Zehmeri.
Fans of Nurettin Sonmez (Bamsi Bey) have another reason to be happy thanks to Dirilis Ertugrul and Kurulus Osman. According to the story, Nurettin Sonmez would portray Sultan Selim I’s fiercest foe, Shah Ismail.
